Sugar Cane Nightclub Review

Sugar Cane is a tiki bar with all the trimmings: huts as booths, straw chief chairs, tiki statues, exotic flowers, palms, lots of bamboo and woven banana leaves covering the walls, and even tiki face cocktail glasses. Sugar Cane has been designed by the same team behind Mayfair’s Mahiki, so you can definitely see where all its great style has come from. However one thing is not the same for sure…the prices. Here you’ll find reasonable entry prices and not so expensive priced drinks. Beer/wine starts at £3.50 per bottle/glass and cocktails from £6.50, which we all must agree is not bad for a London venue.

Since its opening in late 2007, people have quickly stood up and noticed this exciting addition to the Clapham bar scene. Hen and stag parties in hula skirts are already popular but the bar is also popular with groups aged mainly between 25-35. Notably quite a few come from the surrounding area but others have made an effort to travel to this venue. Try Sugar Cane during happy hour and you are sure to become addicted to its laid back fun nature. Sugar Cane is also easy at the door too, they don’t expect you to come suited to get in but have a more laid back approach which makes the venue what it is, a great place for a fun, trouble free night.
